Grantors

Grants are a critically important source of SPOT’s funding. It would not have been possible to fund the over 7,000 dog spay/neuter surgeries since 2008 without the generous support of every foundation working with SPOT. In addition to receiving money, SPOT board members and volunteers are honored that these highly respected foundations believe in our organization and the work that it accomplishes.

SPOT is honored to be a BISSELL Pet Partner with the BISSELL Pet Foundation. SPOT appreciates the generous grants received through this program, in addition to its annual product donation. Their vacuum cleaner gift (great for pet hair!) is auctioned to raise funds for our dog spay/neuter vouchers.
The American Bully Breed Rescue Foundation generously sponsored our special $10 Pit Fix Program which reached hundreds of low income pit bull/mix owners in need. Over 1 million pits are euthanized in shelters in the U.S. each year, so this campaign is especially vital.

The American Bully Breed Rescue Foundation rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes dogs belonging to the “Bully Breeds” with particular interest in the American Pit Bull Terrier. ABBRF has generously provided SPOT with monthly funding for $10 spay/neuter vouchers for pit bulls/mixes, with a challenge to SPOT supporters to match those funds.

Luvable Dog Rescue, a local non-profit that began in 1999, is dedicated to rehoming exceptional, loving dogs who have been rescued from high-kill shelters where they had little chance of being adopted. Luvable collaborates with ABBRF (above) to ensure funding is available for SPOT’s very popular $10 Pit Bull Fix Program (with average litters of 12 and over a million pitties facing euthanization in US shelters annually, this program is vital).
SPOT is also honored to partner with the Petco Foundation, which supports our work by awarding generous grant funds to our dog spay/neuter program.
We are deeply grateful to have received a community grant from Lagunitas Brewing Company, a company with a strong history of support for local community outreach programs with an emphasis on animal welfare.

SPOT has strong continuing partnerships with the Leslie G. Ehmann Charitable Trust and the Onshore Foundation, receiving grants since 2008 and 2009, respectively, in addition to other animal welfare foundations.

Each foundation we work with is committed to making the lives of animals and people better through its financial support, and we are grateful to be part of this mission.
